In real life, I work for a big New Zealand company, in the IT sector. When my way crossed Francois's one, him and I immediately found out that we had a shared enthusiasm for the outdoors and the simple but authentic pleasures in life. Maybe that's because we are both coming from Northern France.
In the friendship is born the project of Mon Ami, a place that would be at the crossroad of our passion, and which would reflect our values. For me, that was also the opportunity to broaden my horizons and discover a job I didn't know. And what an experience!
When I'm not working, I obviously like to make the most of what New Zealand has to offer. When the opportunity arises, I go sailing in the Wellington harbour, and more recently, in the Pelorus Sound, accross the Strait.
Another outdoor activity that I love is tramping. And man, the list of good places for tramping here is endless. So far, I had the chance to enjoy the majestic Arthur's Pass region. I also did a 5 days tramp in the Nelson Lakes. And in November 2008, I went on a tramp with a friend in Aspiring National Park for 8 days.
Plans in a near future? The Dusky Track, in Fjordland!
